Last Friday we held another Parents As Learners (PALs) Morning Tea/Workshop, the title was “Authentic Assessment” and it was presented by our two Primary Years Programme (PYP) Coordinators, Ibu Early and Ibu Aini.
At Sekolah Victory Plus we firmly believe that in order to achieve the best results parents need to be partners in the education of our students. (their children). One of the initiatives that we support to ensure that is what we call PALs or Parents As Learners morning tea workshops. PALs are workshops that are specifically set up for Parents (or in the case of CALs, Caretakers As Learners) to learn more about our methods and pedagogy. We have a number a year for various topics and the parents who attend are expected to be active learners in each workshop
This one was about Authentic Assessment, was well attended, and we have received some very good feedback already.
A very big thanks to our excellent presenters, Ibu Early and Ibu Aini, who are both also qualified International Baccalaureate Workshop Leaders. (IB WSL). We are lucky to have them and they assist us greatly in improving our teaching and learning standards and informing our parents about our methods and philosophy.
