ANPS Teachers ConferenceYou are cordially invited to the 2016 ANPS Teacher’s Conference; “Reach Them To Teach Them: Rebuild Relationships, Transform Your Classrooms” on Saturday, March 12th, 2016 at Beacon Academy, Jakarta.

About the Conference
We have often heard about the changes that schools must go through in order to prepare students for the future. Changes in architectural and interior design, integration of technology, curriculum development to incorporate 21st century skills and many others.

However, there is one thing that remains the same – the critical role that we – as facilitators of learning – play in the lives of our students. This conference will explore the many factors involved in bringing out the best in our students, such as relationships, emotions, the learning environment and expectations.

We aim to empower teachers to demand a classroom environment which contains great teaching, great learning and great fun by ensuring that our learners are in a state of relaxed-alertness, experiencing authentic joy from learning in our classrooms.

We are very pleased to announce that this year’s keynote will be Louise Favaro, an educator of over 25 years as a teacher, counselor, and now administrator at Chatsworth International School in Singapore.  She has developed several original models for supporting students and has presented at the EARCOS Leadership Conference for the last two years running. The title of her keynote will be ‘Changing Perspectives: Seeing Students in a Different Light’

Who Should Attend?
This conference is designed to provide professional development for educators from both the primary and secondary levels, emerging leaders, vice principals, and principals are also very welcome. Counselors and other staff involved in student support will also find this conference particularly beneficial as will anyone interested in creating a culture of positive relationships in their school.
